Color Change From Gold to Smokey and The Bandit Black
The owner of this 1978 Pontiac Trans Am had just purchased this car from the second owner when he contracted with Select Motor Co for repairs.

The car was originally a solar gold car with tan interior.

The second owner had the car painted black and the hood bird and factory decals replaced just prior to selling the car.

The new owner has Select Motor Co remove the hood bird and decals and replace theme with Bandit style bird and German style lettering used only on the Bandit movie cars.

Additionally, the owner had Select Motors replace the tan interior with a new black interior.

The majority of the interior was purchased from Classic Industries, for which Select Motors is a distributor.

Any parts not available were cleaned, plastic primed and dyed black to match the new interior pieces.

A complete engine detail was then performed. The engine was resealed with a new gasket set and then painted the correct Pontiac blue.

We resealed the transmission and reinstalled the engine and transmission along with a new set of headers and a flow master cross flow muffler.

All of the accessories on the motor were cleaned and repainted along with the brackets and reinstalled.

This “Bad Boy" T/A now cruises the streets of Miami Florida black on black.
